1st Down
Pass: 11-15, 147 yards, 1 TD
Run: 15 rushes for 84 yards (5.6 ypc), 1 TD
Combined Season Statistics
Pass: 63-106, 916 yards, 8 TD, 4 INT, 2 sacks for -18 yards
Run: 151 rushes for 757 yards (5.0 ypc), 5 TD
RECAP: The Cats actually struggled quite a bit on 1st down, allowing 2 of the 3 Mizzou touchdowns and almost 8 yards per play. In an overall very good defensive performance, 1st down might have been the Cats worst scenario.

2nd Down and Long (6 yards or more)
Pass: 1-6, 1 yard, 1 sack for 0 yards
Run: 7 rushes for 33 yards (4.7 ypc)
Combined Season Statistics
Pass: 31-60, 352 yards, 1 TD, 3 sacks for -14 yards
Run: 70 rushes for 398 yards (5.7 ypc), 2 TD
RECAP: Awesome defense by the Cats here, especially in the pass defense. UK did not allow Mizzou back into a short situation after successful 1st down plays. 14 plays netted just 34 yards.
2nd Down and Short (5 yards or less)
Pass: 2-2, 18 yards
Run: 6 rushes for 38 yards (6.3 ypc)
Combined Season Statistics
Pass: 12-14, 74 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
Run: 52 rushes for 294 yards (5.7 ypc), 2 TD
RECAP: The Cats with a little less success here but overall limited Mizzou to just 1 play over 10 yards.

3rd Down and Long (6 yards or more)
Pass: 4-7, 53 yards, 1 TD (converted 2 of 7)
Run: 2 rushes for 5 yards (2.5 ypc) (converted 0 of 2)
Combined Season Statistics
Pass: 23-41, 311 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT, 2 sacks for -8 yards (converted 17 of 43)
Run: 15 rushes for 82 yards (5.5 ypc) (converted 2 of 15)
RECAP: The first touchdown for Mizzou falls in here but otherwise UK held the Tigers to just 1 of 8 on 3rd and long.
3rd Down and Short (5 yards or less)
Pass: 0-1 (converted 0 of 1)
Run: 6 rushes for -3 yards (-0.5 ypc) (converted 3 of 6)
Combined Season Statistics
Pass: 12-20, 129 yards, 1 TD, 7 sacks for -43 yards (converted 11 of 28)
Run: 32 rushes for 140 yards (4.4 ypc), 2 TD (converted 23 of 32)
RECAP: 7 plays for -3 yards. I would say that is pretty good. It’s helped by a 15 yard loss early in the game but even still, UK was very solid in these situations. A vast improvement from the first half of the year.
