BTI’s Rants and Ramblings: Summer Flashbacks (UK-LSU 1998 Football)

A reminder that LSU had beaten Kentucky by 35 (!) in Commonwealth Stadium the previous season.

A reminder they have not beaten LSU in Baton Rouge since, losing 5 games by a total of 192-40.

    Flashbacks are a big part of PTSD… Who wants them? No nightmares, no flashbacks! We have enough about football already.

    they were gritty. too bad there was not someone appointed to help enforce institutional control for our novice SEC coaches.

    I remember this win very well. It was HUGE. How many times have we beaten a top-25 SEC team on the road? Quentin McCord and the “Invisible Reverse”! The catch by Whalen afterward was also huge. I easily rank this as one of UK’s top 50 wins ever in the program.

      I meant the catch by Jimmy Haley was huge. Whalen made plenty of huge catches later on…..
