BTI’s Rants and Ramblings: High Playoffs Reach Quarterfinal Stage Tonight!

After 2 rounds of mostly blowouts and the best teams just getting through the lower-level teams in the state, we’ve now reached the point in the high school football playoffs where the best of the best reamin.  In fact, in both Class 6-A and 5-A, the top 2 ranked teams (according to the final AP poll) will face off this week, including state power Trinity facing off against upstart Male.  Below are your matchups for tonight, with defending champions in bold.

#2 Trinity at #1 Male

Class 5-A

    Just a quick note that Northern Kentucky has 8 teams remaining in the playoffs.

    Upstart Male? Male lost one game last year. Overtime to Trinity in the same round as this year. Like last year they handled them in the regular season.
