BREAKING: Shocky Jacques-Louis Decommits from Kentucky

Mark Stoops’ 2018 class took a potentially big hit this morning, as highly touted wide receiver Shocky Jacques-Louis has decided to decommit from the program and weigh his options:

Jacques-Louis would’ve made for a big recruiting victory for Darin Hinshaw. Hopefully the kid comes back around.

This generation’s inability to differentiate “apart” and “a part” is alarming.

The next time an athlete gets that right will be the first.

Offer his twin brother and he comes back. They are pretty adamant about playing together in college.

Please for the love of god, kids please quit committing to teams before you are 100% sure!! Whats the point? Its a kick in the nuts to everyone who’s put time and effort into recruiting these you!

    • I think a lot of them would tell you they thought they WERE sure. The parents should be telling them not to commit so early period.

Agreed, but most parents haven’t raised multiple D1 athletes. When the process is new to the kids and the parents this happens.

Committing to college has just become a means to get twitter followers at this point.

This is a totally random question, but what happened to those twins that transferred from Pitt to UK a few years ago? Are they still around? It seems like I haven’t heard about them since the news broke that they were transferring, I don’t even know what positions they play…

Yeah but committing/decommitting is part of college football recruiting. This is hardly Shock(y)ing.

His lack of grammar was painful to read…from a kid that’s in school nonetheless. Smdh, shit is sad.

Not shocking in the slightest…..committing in football means absolutely nothing.

Hope he manages to stay decommitted. Go find players who want to be here.

Bad take. UK football will never move forward by just taking the kids who “want to be here.” When you are selling your program to high level recruits who can take their pick of schools, this stuff is bound to happen.

UK fans and personal. We should keep his comittment with that type of connection. Most programs have a personnel.
