BREAKING: Abule Abadi-Fitzgerald Commits to Kentucky

Two days before National Signing Day, Mark Stoops has found a diamond in the rough.  After officially visiting Lexington this weekend, Abule Abadi-Fitzgerald has committed to Kentucky.

Abadi-Fitzgerald is unranked by many major scouting services.  At 6’7″ 245-pounds, he’s a raw talent that received a ton of attention over the last week, drawing late offers from Florida and Miami.  Luckily, Stoops’ staff recognized his potential early.  He’s extremely athletic for his size, an 1,000-point scorer on the basketball team, but without much experience in football, Abadi-Fitzgerald’s ceiling is through the roof.

Enjoy these highlights from his senior season.

The 24th commitment in Stoops’ 2017 class will be considered quite the steal in years to come.

If his ceiling is through the roof, he’s bound to have some water damage in his living room. Better call ServPro.

Will he be allowed to enter the country though?

Does this commitment imply the coaching staff is no longer saving a scholarship for Jedrick Wills? (Not that Abadi-Fitzgerald took his spot, of course, but that Wills has let the coaches know he won’t be coming.)

Nice to be able to take a shot on a kid with a high ceiling. Before we didn’t have the depth to take any risks. The culture is changing.

    So, Stoops wasted a scholarship on a zero-star project….

He’s a 3star rated 85+ on 247sports. They are the most thorough recruiting site IMO.
