Bowling Green East Advances to Little League World Series

The Little League World Series will feature some of Kentucky’s finest.

Bowling Green East defeated River Forest, Illinois 15-6 in the Great Lakes Regional Final to advance to big dance in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Bowling Green East will try to become the first team from Kentucky to claim a World Championship since Louisville’s Valley Sports brought home a title in 2002. The action begins this Thursday on ESPN.

    Wow. Nice job guys. Have fun and give your all and that’s all that matters. Win or lose, the whole state is proud of you and behind you. Since you’re already there though, might as well kick some butt!! Hahaha.

      This is BG East’s 3rd LLWS appearance in 5 years. Hope they tear it up this year! Go BG East!!!

    This is really cool. The LLWS truly is one of the best sporting events in this country. I love baseball and the first year I moved to Pittsburgh I started making the drive down to Williamsport every year or two. It’s a spectacle man! It’s also really cool to see the kids having fun playing the game, and their families rooting for them. Really cool stuff, and even cooler the Bluegrass has a team at the top this year, specifically the Western Bluegrass! Bring it home boys.
