Bob Knight is (still) an Angry Old Man

Bobby Knight is a jerk.  We’ve known this for a long time, but he’s still finding creative ways to show us he is the world’s worst old curmudgeon.

This morning he crawled out of his cave to make an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show. Once again, he doesn’t give a damn about returning to Indiana University, but his reasoning is what’s disturbing.

“I don’t have an ounce of respect for those people,” Knight said of the administration.  When Patrick asked, “Aren’t all those people out of there?”  Knight’s response was the most Bobby Knight response ever: “I hope they’re all dead.”

Stay classy, Bobby.

The world has passed him by already. The rest of the world continued to grow and learn, but he was perfectly happy with his current state. It’s kinda sad, but well deserved.

It always brings joy to my heart to remember that General Knight has a losing record against Kentucky at two schools: Army and Indiana. No wonder he hates us so. And I saw the game in Memorial where we beat his Army team.

Was that the one they held the ball and wouldn’t shoot…no shot clock then? It was like 12-8 at halftime?
And, Rupp said he’d never play them again.
Of course, he played Knight after the move to Indiana.

The Army game was 80-65. You might be thinking of the Cincinnati game that was 11-7 at the half and ended 24-11. That game and Dirty Dean Smith’s four-corners helped bring on the shot clock.

A “great American” who dodged the draft and then said John McCain was not a war hero (rolling eyes).

  12. PLEASE, NOT the P word! It’s TOURNEY time for crying out loud! Can’t we all just get along at least until the Madness is over???!!!

  13. And he was an angry YOUNG man too. He’s was and is a jerk, and he probably always will be. Age and his political leanings have nothing to do with it.

Personally, I thought Knight was a Ahole. But he was good at taking average or above average talent and getting them to play as a team and win.
