James Blackmon Jr. opened the doors to his Indiana home for John Calipari Monday night and the visit went well, as all John Calipari in-home visits tend to do. The class of 2014 guard told Corey Albertson of Rivals.com, “The visit went great. Coach Calipari told me that (if I go to Kentucky) I’ll have a chance to come in right away and play on the biggest stage there is.”
Calipari is also selling Blackmon on the potential of running the point with Tyler Ulis. Blackmon said Cal told him he and Ulis would share the point guard role if he ends up at Kentucky.
And those rumors around the internet this week that Blackmon has already given a silent commitment to Kentucky?
Those aren’t true, he says.
“But I do like (UK) a lot though.”
