Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Bill Simmons Joins Kentucky Sports Radio

Matt Jones has caught his white whale.  Today Matt fan-boyed harder than he’s ever fan-boyed when his muse called into Kentucky Sports Radio.

It all started when Simmons gave Matt a shout-out in a column for The Ringer, calling for his beloved Celtics to trade for DeMarcus Cousins.

Why didn’t we listen to Boogie’s defenders, people like Kentucky Sports Radio’s Matt Jones, who says now, “We all tried to tell you: Boogie’s as good as his situation. Everyone loved him here.”

Simmons dove deep into a discussion about the possibility of bringing Boogie to Boston after he touched on a few topics with Matt, including the Kentucky/Louisville rivalry and what’s wrong with college basketball.  Most importantly, Simmons shared his story about Oklahoma City’s haunted hotel.  Listen to the entire interview beginning around the 22-minute mark.

Simmons wasn’t the only big name to join the show in the second hour.  Mitch Barnhart was Simmons’ opening act, using the airwaves to discuss UK’s new deal with Rupp Arena.
