Big Blue Nation sings the National Anthem

We had this on here yesterday but it got lost a bit in the shuffle and is worth reposting. Here is the full video of Saturday’s national anthem, performed by 24,000 people in Rupp Arena.

Wow.

Word spreading fast about Randle. I’m hearing it might not have been cramps Saturday, his knee might be hurt? Can we get an update on this? Thanks

WOW!! That was awesome. It really nice to hear the National Anthem sung like the song was written. Very proud of our fans for that.

This should become a tradition at all future UK sporting events. This is something that would set us apart.

I heard at least 3 octaves. Put the crowd on that sing-off show.

I agree with Carlos! Things like this could set us apart from other college basketball venues! I also think everyone should stay at the end and sing My Old Kentucky Home rather than rush to the parking lots!

I was there and can tell you that it put a lump in my throat and I could see that it was that way for everyone else. I think it should be like this every game. It really go the crowd in the mood too.

What better way to force the blue hairs into standing and participating more in the game… This needs to be a Rupp game tradition that starts now. It sets the tone from before tip off that you’re expected to stand, cheer, and participate when you step into Rupp.

THIS, is a moment that should occur at every UK game. The beginning of a tradition that would send chills even through the visiting team. Well, at least until the ‘Politically Correct’ police and the ACLU get wind of it start a law suit because it offends those of another country at the game. Thanks you lefty pricks!
