Big Blue Father’s Day

It’s all about the dads today and some of BBN’s best have spread the love of all things paternal on social media.

Daddy Harrison got some love from his twin boys today. We know he is one proud papa!

Patrick Towles not only shared a pic of his dad but also his grandfather. Apparently, a mean right arm runs in the fam.

Socks and crocs. It's Father's Day. He can do what he wants to.

Coach Cal’s daughters celebrated their dad today with Erin giving a glimpse into Cal’s fashion sense. But the real question is: What the heck is he sitting on?

Jared Lorenzen showed what being a dad is all about.

Drew Franklin’s dad deserves a trophy for this. True dad skills.

Happy Father's Day, Dad. Thanks for taking me to all those UK games growing up. It mattered!

Wish people would take their education more serious if they are going to use social media. One would think that being in college, and a qb who throws, Patrick would know his Grandfather threw a perfect game. .

People often mix up the words threw and through. Some folks mix up offence and offense. HFD!

How about we just wish dads a happy Father’s Day? Why the need for the qualifier of “dads who step up”? More importantly why the addition of moms into the equation in any capacity? Obviously the implication isn’t happy deadbeat dad’s day and mom already had her holiday regardless of how many roles she plays. I don’t understand the need to denigrate fathers and the role of fathers by awkwardly pointing out that some dads suck. Well no kidding. So do some moms. Why don’t we wish a “happy Father’s Day to you dads out there with bitter, conniving ex wives who prove their love for their kids by violating visitation rights and preventing them from ever seeing their dads”? Or is that just a touch absurd and obviously a reflection of an individual’s axe to grind? Maybe let’s just honor dads. No explanation needed. No need to take a shot at fatherhood and no need to wedge mom into the salutations. Otherwise maybe we should mention her on National Healthcare Worker Day, Teacher Day, etc. since she plays all of those roles too. We might also consider whether or not some of these dual role moms had anything to do with their predicaments as an unsupported mom. Nah. Probably all of them made serious, sober, well planned decisions in regards to whom they dated, married and slept with. Yeah that’s it. These were all great guys who suddenly and inexplicably changed. Happy Father’s Day. Period.
