Big Blue Caravan to tour Kentucky for one week this summer

UK announced on Wednesday its Big Blue Caravan will tour Kentucky later this month with stops in a different community each day. The tour will run from June 18 to June 22 with visits to Marshall County, Madisonville, Elizabethtown/Fort Knox, Somerset and Pikeville.

Mitch Barnhart will lead the charge and will be at all five appearances. He will take with him a rotation of UK coaches, student-athletes and staff members.

“The connection our university and athletics department share with this state and its people is truly unique,” Barnhart said in the release. “That connection has always been central to our identity, but we have made it a priority to find ways to further honor and strengthen it. We look forward to seeing friends in these five communities and meeting many more.”

The schedule is as follows:

Marshall County | June 18 | Marshall County H.S. | 4-6 p.m.

Madisonville |  June 19 | Kroger | 4-6 p.m.

Elizabethtown/Fort Knox | June 20 | Kroger | 4-6 p.m.

Somerset | June 21 | Kroger | noon-1 p.m.

Pikeville | June 22 | East Kentucky Expo Center – Billy Johnson Stage | noon-2 p.m.

Go Cats.
