Big Bang Theory stars working together on new show set in Louisville

Michael Yarish/Warner Bros.

Former The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik is set to star in a new Fox comedy set in Louisville, and Jim Parsons will executive produce the show. Parsons and Bialik played Sheldon Cooper and Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler on The Big Bang Theory from 2010-2019.

Now, Bialik is set to play the title character in “Carla,” a show based off the successful BBC show Miranda.

“Carla (Bialik) is a 39-year-old woman who struggles every day against society and her mother to prove that you CANNOT have everything you want — and still be happy,” a synopsis of the show reads, according to Deadline. “Which is why she spent the money her parents set aside for her wedding to open a cat café in Louisville, KY.

The show is part of Fox’s fall 2020 lineup. What aspects of Louisville do you hope the show includes? Also, what on earth is a cat cafe?

Then again you could of also be talking about 40 miles out of the actual city to which case I’m sorry.

Louisville is a great, under appreciated city. Full of the most rabid UK fans on the planet. Anyone who feels differently is simply uninformed.

Sorry, but the eastern part of the state is the most rabid.

There already is a Cat Cafe in Louisville – https://www.purrfectdaycafe.com/

Maybe the show will shoot some scenes there.

^^^^^^^What BUCats said… My wife and I live in the NuLu/Butchertown area of downtown Lousiville. There is a cat cafe in the Highlands on Bardstown Rd. There is also a “dog bar” that is set to open soon. My wife and I moved downtown a year ago, from a small rural town, to establish our cleaning business and I couldn’t be happier with our decision. I am a graduate of U of L and can speak firsthand to the dumpster fire that the school has become. The rest of the city is booming and growing at a crazy rate. We need a CAT CAFE bar that caters to UK fans though…. Anyone know any investors?
