Beers with Beshear: Sweet Virginia

You’ve heard the phrase “Beers with Beshear,” and now it’s coming to Thursday through Sunday. Like many Kentuckians across the state at 5:00 pm, we are going to start having a “Beer with Beshear” on the website.

With taprooms, bars and restaurants closed across the state, the craft beer industry in Kentucky is suffering. Each day we will highlight a different Kentucky craft beer to show our support of all the amazing breweries across our Commonwealth.

Blue Stallion Brewing: Sweet Virginia

No one has become more of a star in Kentucky over the past two months than Kentucky’s sign language interpreter, Virginia Moore. Virginia is Governor Beahear’s sidekick during his daily 5 o’clock press conferences. And in my opinion, she’s the bigger star of the two.

To honor what Virginia is doing, Blue Stallion brewed a beer in her name, Sweet Virginia. Sweet Virginia is a Sangria Lager with Black Currant and Passionfruit and it is delicious. The can displays the name “Sweet Virginia” in sign language. I didn’t know what to expect for this beer, but it blew away all of my expectations. I had never had a beer with black currant before but now I want more beers with black currant. This beer is sweet and tart but not overbearing and the passionfruit notes are strong with a hint of black currant.

Between Sweet Virginia and Sh’Andy Beer’Sheer, Blue Stallion Brewing in Lexington is doing an amazing job of showing the state’s appreciation for the two people that bring us comfort every day at 5:00 pm. And I want to thank the people at Blue Stallion for that.

Style: Sangria Lager with Black Currant and Passionfruit

ABV: 5.5%

Trump Death Count: 90,000+ and counting
40 million unemployed with most losing health insurance. And Trump still vows to take away health insurance for millions more by ending Obamacare. So where is his big, beautiful health care plan again?
Trillions and trillions of additional debt added to our kids and grandkids legacy…with very little given to main street, and the vast majority used to bail out Wall Street yet again.
Trump saying he would run the US economy like one of his businesses turns out to be one of the few times he’s ever told the truth (see his numerous bankruptcies). Too bad Russia can’t bail us out like they did him.
Let’s just say this experiment of hiring a pathologically lying 2-bit realty TV show host is not going well.
Beshear at least is competent and listens to his experts.

Delray, I’m not going to claim Trump is perfect at all, but if you’re going to blame him for the economic collapse, will you give him his due for how well the economy was doing beforehand? You can’t do one without the other.

No. Trump had the golden showers in Russia and an affair 6 weeks after Baron came along.

Trump is no better or worse than Obama, the Bushs or the Clintons, one is no different than the other in the long run. Go back and do some research into each of them and maybe your eyes will be opened.

Was listening to a national sports guy discuss covid19. He mentioned how Beshear is the dumbest Gov in Kentucky. And how hospitals in the state have lost close to 125 million because of him. He set up a mass hospital in the UK football practice facility that was used by no one. Guy is a dope. State should have already opened up based on the number of cases. But he is doing like all other states run by libs and not opening. Beshear is in way over his head and is a total clown show.

Beshear is following the corporate narrative and it is killing KY’s economy. He is keeping us from mingling amongst each other which kills herd immunity and makes the illness worse. Let the elderly, sickly and vulnerable stay away from the masses because they are the fatality group. All the statistics show it. Unless you are do it at home away from your mates it’s no beers due to Beshear.

Remember how TN was doing everything wrong and we were told not to travel there by Governor Opie? Now TN has reopened and have less deaths than KY. For some reason, we don’t hear about that from the media.

Lots of people dying with coronavirus just not from it. Hospitals get paid $39,000 for putting a patient on a ventilator and $39,000 for coding a death as coronavirus, a hospital administrator told me that last night.
