Who is going to be the next commitment for the Kentucky football program? If you ask future Wildcat quarterback Beau Allen, fans should be prepared for yet another elite prospect to join the fold.
In an article published on Rivals.com, Allen said that he expected 2020 four-star athlete and Bowling Green, KY product Vito Tisdale to join him in Lexington.
“Justin Rogers was the guy, and now I’m working on keeping the in-state guys home,” Allen said. “Vito [Tisdale], Octavius Oxendine, Izayah Cummings. It’s super important to keep those guys in the state.”
Tisdale is listed as Rivals’ No. 61 overall prospect in the class of 2020, 247Sports’ No. 148 prospect, and ESPN’s No. 282 prospect overall.
In an interview with Josh Edwards of 247Sports, Tisdale said that if he was making a decision several years ago, staying in-state and playing at Kentucky would have never crossed his mind.
“Growing up, Kentucky was not a dominant SEC football school,” he said. “I would have never played at Kentucky. You could have asked me eight years ago and I would have never played at Kentucky.”
Now, though, the consensus four-star prospect could absolutely see himself suiting up in blue and white in Lexington.
“Kentucky is amazing,” he said. “I like Kentucky a lot. … I really like them. Stoops is a hell of a coach, hell of a coach for life too. He really cares about his players.”
The 6-foot-1 prospect, who plays both running back and safety, holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Oklahoma, and Tennessee, among several others.
Despite holding offers from just about everywhere in the nation, Kentucky holds 60% of total predictions on his Crystal Ball, including six consecutive picks and one from 247Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong.
