BBNFL: NFL Week 9 Preview

@Jaguars

Good morning, BBN! We got an extra hour of sleep and thank goodness. In less than 15 minutes there is a game starting. Yes, at 9:30 a.m. ET, another London game is going to be played, and it is a huge one for the AFC South. Both the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars really need a win to keep their playoff dreams afloat. So, let’s talk some NFL Football for Week 9, shall we?

Sorry Pittsburgh fans, “yah boi Benny Snell Jr.” is OUT today against the Indianapolis Colts.

A team that is tragically on their last leg has gotten worse. With Foster and Snell out for today’s game, Steelers fans were probably hoping everything else will be ok. Then this came up last night.

Mason Rudolph will have to pull something out to get the win against the Colts.

Za’Darius Smith

If you have not heard what happened to the former Kentucky pass rusher, check out Drew Franklin’s article on Za’Darius Smith’s citation for possession of marijuana.

Despite being charged, nothing has happened yet, so expect Smith to be active today against the Chargers. I expect a big game with a weak offensive line. Smith is going to have no problem getting to Phillip Rivers today. And if he does, that means one thing: a Za’Darius Smith sack dance.

Check out this epic photo that could really trigger a lot of Bears fans (but it’s still pretty funny).

Josh Allen

Last but not least – and the reason why I am up this early is to watch the AFC South Showdown between the Jaguars and Texans – is Josh Allen. Now, we all know the year Nick Bosa is having in an undefeated season with the 49ers, but the media isn’t doubting Allen yet for a Defensive Rookie of the Year award. The stats speak for themselves.

Allen is also up there with fellow teammate, quarterback Gardner Minshew, for a top-three rookie ranking going into mid-season.

BBNFL Schedule for Week 9

That’s all we have on some BBNFL news for the week going into Sunday and Monday. Check back later today on KSR to see the highlights and more from Week 9 action in the NFL for former Cats. For now, here is today’s schedule. Enjoy NFL Sunday, everyone!

    Allen’s done as well with less help. Bosa also has a pick/INT.
