This weekend was historic in so many lives around the NFL as the players got to experience what the 100th year of the NFL will bring! Let’s see what the Cats did in the 2019 NFL debut!

Benny Snell

Benny Snell is all in for the Steelers.

In an interview after his game against the Buccs, Snell had this to say about his NFL debut:

“I feel like it was a pretty good game. I think I did a good job on all four of the special teams that I was on. My opportunities that presented itself on offense, I felt like I tried to fall forward on my runs, stay solid in pass protection.”

Also, look here for an interview the NFL posted to Twitter on what he think’s it’ll be like in the first few games as a Steeler:

Josh Allen

Another Cat that saw his first NFL game in his rookie season was Josh Allen.

It also did not take him long to record his first-ever tackle in the NFL…

At the post-game press conference, Jacksonville Jaguars Head Coach, Doug Marrone, said with a grin on his face that overall, Allen played a great game.

“He was really strong, and got to the backfield. Just any of those defensive-lineman that come out of college plays in a different combination of blocks that they’re going to see. In college it’s spread and on the edge but now they get covered up by a tight-end or a wing or a tackle and a tight-end,” Marrone also said; “I thought he looked strong out there and was running around, pursuit was good. I feel really good where he is.”

Since when is 2 yards per carry going off?

Further proof that KSR writers are morons

13 carries for 26 yards…but he “went off”

You guys are forgetting about the 2 catches for 25 yards and a block. Not many RBs put up 51 total yards on 15 touches and pick up a blitz. Can you say Pro Bowl?

Hayden, I come in peace. Change that title my friend. We all love Benny and you, but come one now! Hehe. He had a decent first showing catching a couple balls, but he’d definitely disagree with the title. Thanks. Change it or not, I’m still a fan of yours and like your work very much and I think you’re doing a fantastic job. Keep keeping it real.

Yeah if he keeps averaging 2 yards a carry he’ll be going off to a new career. These writers are such homers it’s ridiculous.

BENNY SNELL GOES OFF… to 4th string, averaging 2 ypc.

But it was the second string line says the homers.

Someone needs to notify Oxford that their term of ‘going off’ is outdated.

LOL, outdated…Needs must as the Devil drives, note that Cinci is not a fan of Shakespeare.
Benny was running behind the 2nd AND 3RD OL’s, and I saw only one solo tackle that he should have slipped…and he knew it.
Let’s give him more than one preseason game before we declare his career over.

      Missed the point completely…

      Title: Benny Goes Off… Benny’s stat line: 13 carries for 26 yards, 3 rec for 25 yards…

That’s not going off. Mind you, he’s behind 3rd stringer OL. I get that. But he didn’t go off.

Not completely; I was just pointing out that, while the expression is misplaced in this context, it is not archaic.
That, and the fact that Benny had no protection, and was being met at the line and gang tackled.
Let’s wait, and see what he can do with some blocking.

Per the TV announcer, Benny had the first tackle in the game on the opening kickoff.

    Went off in debut? Huh!
    Just a moronic headline.

The reason I like the KSR radio show is bc Matt and the guys are objective unlike Michael Bennett who I only listen to to hear Shannon make fun of him. The title of this article goes against all that. Yes Benny was playing behind the 2nd strong oline but he was also playing vs 2nd stringers if that. Be objective and tell it like it is, not what you think people wanna hear.
