1. KSR will have lots more from the McDonald’s All-American Game.

It is Day 2 at the McDAAG and Nick Roush is ready to bring you everything you need to know from Kentucky’s four participating signees, as well as Mohamed Bamba and Kevin Knox. It will all begin with action from today’s morning practice, followed by the McDonald’s Media Day activities in Chicago.

I’m supposed to be in Chicago with Nick, but that long drive from Memphis damn near killed me. I just didn’t have another trip in me after the tournament run. Sorry, Nick.

2. Join us for a live blog of the McDonald’s All-American Game on Wednesday.

The McDonald’s fun will continue Wednesday night when the actual game is played. I’d like to extend an invitation for you to stop by Kentucky-Sports-Radio-dot-com and join us for a live blog of the game when it tips off at 7 pm on ESPN.

3. Derek Willis will play in the Reese’s College All-Star Game at the Final Four.

Continuing the theme of all-star game talk, last night we learned Derek Willis will travel to Phoenix to play in the Reese’s College All-Star Game. That one will be played Friday night and will air on the CBS Sports Network at 6:30 pm. John Calipari said on his radio show that he will travel to Phoenix to support Willis and take in the Final Four festivities.

Willis also has an invitation to compete in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, an eight-team, 12-game tournament featuring 64 of college basketball’s best seniors, on April 12-15 in Portsmouth, Virginia. Calipari said he is working to get an invite for Dominique Hawkins, too.

4. Malik Monk named Wooden All-American.

Monk was one of 10 players named to the Wooden All-American Team on Monday. He is joined by Lonzo Ball (UCLA), Dillon Brooks (Oregon), Josh Hart (Villanova), Josh Jackson (Kansas), Justin Jackson (North Carolina), Luke Kennard (Duke), Frank Mason III (Kansas), Caleb Swanigan (Purdue) and Nigel Williams-Goss (Gonzaga) on the team.

The honor makes Monk the sixth Wildcat to earn the Wooden All-American distinction under John Calipari. Tyler Ulis (2016), Willie Cauley-Stein (2015), Anthony Davis (2012), DeMarcus Cousins (2010) and John Wall (2010) are the others.

5. Calipari already campaigning for De’Aaron Fox to NBA GMs.

“You take another point guard before this guy, it’s at your own peril,” Cal said on his call-in show.

It’s too bad Lonzo Ball will go ahead of him — the same Lonzo Ball he abused last Friday.

6. Zion Williamson will get a visit from Kentucky today.

The hottest name in high school basketball is expected to meet with Calipari today. Williamson is the No. 1 small forward in the 2018 class and he already has Drake wearing his Spartanburg Day School basketball jersey.

And he can do stuff like this, which is why he is the best high school dunker ever:

Be careful or you may spend two hours of your day watching his YouTube highlights.

7. Kentucky has eyes on a new target in the 2017 class.

Is there a third name on the board, along with Bamba and Knox?

Rumor has it, yes. And we’ll tell you all about him here on the site later today.

8. John Higgins’ business is getting CRUSHED on its Facebook page.

I won’t link the page because I don’t completely agree with attacking his side hustle, but, man, Big Blue Nation is destroying Higgins in the comments and reviews of the business.

9. Someone made a video package with all of Higgins’ bad calls from the game.

If you can stand to watch it, here you go…

John Higgins Sabotage of Kentucky from cal for the win on Vimeo.

10. Let’s have a fun day to get over March Sadness.

Join us for KSR radio at 10 and here on the site all day long…

John Higgins’ business can crash and burn…he is corrupt to the core.
And while Cal is at the Final Four, if anybody wants an interview, Cal should blast the guy to hell nation wide. Any fair minded neutral basketball fan knows how that went down.

I don’t know what he rating was before. but on facebook it’s down to 1.1 stars

I won’t attack his personal life because i think it’s wrong. but i can’t say i don’t find it absolutely hilarious.

Hopefully Facebook will pull those reviews after things calm down. While he should never be allowed to call a game ever again people going after his personal business is a small petty thing to do.

i did see a few 5 star reviews from UL and UNC fans. but one that stuck out was a fake Roy Williams account that said thanks for taking care of me and my kids. kinda funny

The fact that an NCAA official has to have a “side business” to make a living tells us all we need to know. I hate it when fans call “foul” after losing a game, but there’s no doubt in my mind that one (if not two or three) thing(s) occurred here.
    1) John Higgins has some kind of personal vendetta with Cal and/or Kentucky.
    2) The dude got paid
    3) The corrupt NCAA had a hand in this because of their disdain for Kentucky/Calipari.

I felt like I’d been gut punched after this game, but after watching this video, I’m just angry. We got hosed, guys.

he ever refs one of our games again and i’m just going to put $1000 for cats to lose. seems like i could at least win “something” since i know the team won’t

wild41, you clearly have no clue. Most of these refs have a side business or job. Officiating last a few months out of the year. Even NFL refs have jobs or businesses. Please have a clue before posting stupid ass comments.

Higgins just may be on the payroll in Vegas to insure certain teams get beat at times when it favors the houses’s bets…….just sayin

Not to mention it’s illegal to attack his business based on his ability to referee a basketball game. The courts exist to protect businesses from libel and slander. That’s Tort 101.

no one is attacking his business really though .they are literally all talking smack about his ability to referee a basketball game and leaving a 1* rating on a social media page. that’s not protected by the court.

I agree that it’s awful that people are trolling his Facebook page. Maybe his recent “bonus” will allow him to take some time off.

You know, I’m all for booing the hell out of the guy and I wish he could be banned from ever officiating another UK game ever. But all the UK fans acting like monkeys throwing their poop on his roofing company’s Facebook page is honestly a terrible look for our fanbase.

I don’t agree with fans posting things on his business page. Makes us look really bad.

It does cause an interesting issue though.

There is now a good case for him not to be assigned to any more UK games because it can now be said without a doubt that he may have personal issues with UK and their fans due to this.

That video with all those bad calls is just too hard to watch. 90% are obviously missed calls or just BAD calls. I’m not sure that wasn’t a premeditated conspiracy, involving not just Higgins.

90%???? I really hope you are not a Prof at UK or our youth are doomed. Please watch it again, read post 11 and see if you are still at 90%. Also the ones screaming the most are the same idiots attacking someone on a business page. Real classy so called fans.

I honestly think there’s a good chance he was gambling on the game. What other reasonable explanation is there? It’s truly inexcusable.

This shows exactly what is wrong with BBN fans. The announcers are obviously UK and that seems to be what you all are going by.
    1. Yes the basket interference was a bad call but it was also very close, had to have slow mo replay to see it, live I thought it was.
    2. The over the back on the tip IS a foul, easy call. Look at Bams left arm,. I hate the loss as well but that is a foul.
    3. The block on Fox was a terrible call, I thought that when called but the guy you are blaming DID NOT make that call, the black ref did. Higgins did blow his whistle but never gave a signal on how he was ruling because the other, primary, ref for that call made the block signal right away.
    4. The foul on “no D’ Willis WAS an easy call as well, he had all arm which affected the play. We as fans need to look at things with true eyes not our Blue eyes. I just hope none of you are judges.
Not saying the guy is a great ref, I have no idea, but these 4 examples should not be a discussion.
I would rather discuss Ole Roy going zone and Cal making no adjustment. That lost the game, no call did.
