I hope everyone had a great weekend, and its short week. Good combo.

So is the summer tour dates ready now?

Complainers are greedy. Everyone wants more, then when you get more and get used to that-then you want more. It’s greed, rather than being thankful for all the good we have been blessed with.

No kidding. Many people complained about the platoon system all season. Now the same folks are complaining that we don’t have enough quality players to be forced to platoon. We are one spoiled fan base! Go Cats!

I’ll always be “negative” about the way the season ended this year. But to be negative about an undefeated regular season is insane, and to be negative about the present/future is completely unreasonable. How can so many people give Cal so little trust and credit? How can people not be excited about Poythress, Ulis, Briscoe, Skal, etc.?

Totally disagree that Robic would be considered replaceable. He is simply very open about the fact that he’s not going anywhere. He’s content to be a number 2 and always stay with Cal.

Agreed, Robic is a fantastic assistant who wants to stay an assistant. He’s Cal’s right hand man and has been for a long time.

Robic really deserves more jack. He has Cal’s back for eternity and is a ridiculously integral part of our success with Cal. I suspect Robic is not wanting for much though.

Congrats to all the staff. Our recruiting has suffered with the departure of Antigua. Hope he makes waves in Miami and perhaps is in a position to return to Lexington in 5 or 6 years.

Matt, I won an autographed team poster of the 77-78 Championship team at a charity auction. It has all the player’s autographs (and Joe B’s) except one; Dwane Casey. Does he ever come back around Lexington/UK? Any recommendation on how to get his autograph on this poster?

Art has, by far, the better voice between the two. Simon’s solo work is much better though. Plus Art is some sort of ridiculous free-throw shooter….and he has the hair. Sour grapes for Garfunkel. I will call it a wash.

In the other games if we put our foot on the gas we would have won, too. Just because we won by stalling doesn’t mean we wouldn’t have won doing it the other way…also, if you are a projected top 5 or 10 type pick (Alex, the twins, etc.) you can only hurt yourself by going to college. Booker was projected to be in college for 2 or 3 years, so he couldn’t hurt himself.

Rock bands have a long history of band break-ups and getting back together for tours etc. There are a lot of egos in play in big rock bands. Beatles, Eagles, Van Halen, Simon & Garfunkel, the list goes on.

Rat poison is the same as Warfarin, which means you take too much, you don’t clot and you bleed to death

The medication “Coumadin” was derived from a rat poison. The coumarin derivatives employed in a variety of rat poisonings cause the rats to die of internal hemorrhage. Rat poisons can definitely kill a human. The key is delivering the poison without victim noticing.

Game of Thrones is definitely NOT historically accurate. Matt obviously doesn’t watch the show, not has he read the books. The series is fictional.

There was a show on HBO called the “Iceman Tapes” where a hit-man was telling how he killed people for the mob. One way he killed people was to wait till they went to the bathroom and then he would put arsenic on their food. He said that most times it was ruled a heart attack.

The Jalapeño Fresco is really tasty. Add a side of ghost pepper fries. Nice…for fast food. Could use more heat if they are going to invoke the name ghost pepper.

We use etomidate in the ER when you need to be intubated…usually with succinyl choline or rocuronium/vecuronium (paralytics…your diaphragm stops moving and you suffocate )

Class of 1943? DNA Structure was elucidated in 1953…though Watson and Crick borrowed heavily and took all the credit.
Not saying older docs don’t keep up with the newest advances but we ALL have a tendency to cling to many “truths ” that we learned in professional school…come hell or high water and in spite of new information.

Pitino still comes across as a tool though.
