I just don’t buy it. I’m sorry. I’ve watched my dad suffer w/ back pain like no other and I understand what you are saying. That stated, I just do not buy his actions yesterday. He goes from swinging 100 mph mulitple times after saying he “jarred” the back. I know for a fact that my dad would never have done such thing if he felt his back pain coming on. Anybody with back pain and such a surgery wouldn’t have played six more holes after re-injuring the back only a few months after surgery.

I understand why they wouldn’t want to send the pros and risk injury but at the same time I feel even worse for the kids if they send college students to the Olympics. Because they could risk a career ending injury and have nothing to show for it. At least the pros have money to fall back on.

If the sand trap shot is what triggered it, then why doesn’t the slow mo show ANY type of reaction whatsoever? Neither does he show a reaction for the next several holes.

Also, if Tiger was so “injured”, why does he bypass the medical trailer the PGA has on-site and goes directly to the car and then straight to the hotel? If he was in so much pain (which Matt says you would be), you would think you would want immediate treatment by a physio to try to get the “spasms” under control.

Also, Tiger only passed up a payday of $50,000, which is peanuts to him.

I’m certainly not the only person seriously questioning this withdrawal from Tiger. There are plenty of people, including golf “experts, who are very skeptical. I saw a surgeon on TV this morning that said he would question the legitimacy of Tiger’s pain yesterday if he goes and enters this week’s tournament.

You don’t understand back issues. None of your observations mean anything. Spasms are most always delayed and are a chain reaction. They can be triggered by a cough or violent sneeze if your back is vulnerable. My belief is Tiger came back too soon. Probably needed to use a lower gear for awhile rather than go all out like he usually does. It was obvious to me that Tiger was not able to rotate or follow thru on his swing after the bunker incident. If you are Tiger Woods and have experienced all the injuries he has you do not go to the Trailor on course for treatment. You have your plane warmed up on the runway and head straight toward your own physiologist. If Tiger was able to finish he would have. He doesn’t play anymore for money just like Phil doesn’t. They play for their place in golf history.

I think Orlando could work. If you watched the games he often was the one holding the clip board doing x’s and o’s. The guy is a tremendous recruiter, great personality, knows the Kentucky Way…and if he proves he can win why not? I can see Antigua taking USF and making them a tournament team and gettin an upset or 2 then going some place like Memphis—which Pastner’s seat is heating up….If Orlando could take memphis to some EE/ maybe 1 FF Then I think he is one of the best options out there….

I agree with Sean Miller, The guy couldnt win the Pac-12 tourney last year….smh

Also, if you think this is the only strain of Ebola in the US then I’ve got some land on the moon to sell you.

You do realize that the healthcare workers dealing with the Ebola victims are wearing body protection suits?

    • UKBigDaddy4
      11:50 am August 4, 2014 Permalink

Actually, no we don’t. We wear the same personal protective equipment(gown, gloves, facemask, etc) that we would with any other communicable disease with same methods of transmission(MRSA, C-Diff, etc). Ebola is spread through body fluids(blood, semen, saliva, etc), so immediate, direct, intimate contact with an infected patient’s infectious fluids is the only method of transmission. The reason that ebola is so ‘scary’ is that is does have a high mortality rate, and there is really no way to determine if the patient will recover, or enter what’s called a cytokine storm; the body’s immune system targets and attacks its own body, causing multiple organ failure and small blood vessels to burst basically everywhere. Thus the stereotypical ‘bleeding out’ as the patient becomes terminal and passes. Since a person can have no symptoms for up to 21 days and still transmit the disease, the people who we KNOW have ebola are NOT the ones to worry about; it’s the people who are infected/contagious and we DONT KNOW. With the proper isolation, there will be nearly zero risk of causing an ‘outbreak.’
