Arby’s now selling venison sandwiches

Oh deer! Here’s a sentence I didn’t think I’d ever type: Arby’s is now selling venison sandwiches. The fast-food chain is offering the sandwich — thick-cut venison steak, crispy onions, and berry sauce on a toasted roll — in six states this fall where deer hunting is popular: Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Georgia.
That’s right, Kentucky did not make the list; however, if you find yourself in the Nashville area, you can pick one up for yourself at the Arby’s on Rosa Parks Blvd. And no, I will not be the guinea pig. I’m already not a big fan of venison, so I can only imagine what it’s like from a fast food place, although Arby’s claims their meat is 100% free-range farmed deer fed on fresh grass. (Yeah, sure.)
Would you try one?

disgusting
The “grass fed, free range” part is possibly true. If someone could sell a deer they shot to Arby’s for $75-100 that they can turn into $500 worth of sandwiches, there are probably a lot of people who would jump at the chance
But it says “farmed.” Perhaps a farmer shot the deer in his field.
Arby’s venison might actually be pretty good, but I just don’t see it going over all that well. Typically, people who like venison already hunt deer and therefore have some in the freezer to cook at home. Who knows, maybe it will encourage a few people to take up hunting.
I bet this is the reason you don’t see road kill deer any more.
Have you seen some of the feed lots where cattle are kept, nasty . What do you think Deer eat, grass, grain, nuts sounds clean to me.
I’m going to buy one. I have to see if the one I am served looks anything like the what is pictured.
I’d try it. Might be good.
I will definitely try it. Why not?
