Anthony Edwards Sets Decision Date

Photo: USA Today

The No. 1 player in America will soon announce where he will attend college.

Five-star shooting guard Anthony Edwards will make his college decision one week from today, Monday, February 11 at 9:00 am on CBS Sports HQ.  “I can’t wait,” Edwards told Evan Daniels.

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Tom Crean’s Bulldogs are a surprising frontrunner.  Edwards recently cut North Carolina, leaving Kentucky and Florida State as his remaining finalists.  Edwards officially visited UK two weeks ago for the Mississippi State game.  He will take an official visit to Tallahassee this weekend.

Jack Pilgrim will have more on Edwards’ decision in tonight’s Insider Notes.

You have no clue what he’s doing. For you or anyone to ack like they have any kind of knowledge about what he’s doing is just arrogant!! It’s all just a guess from any of us because we don’t know this kid personally.

This is a cant lose situation, like many before it. If a player of his caliber wants to go to a Georgia or an FSU it’s almost always bc they want to be the MAN and that school said they’d build a team around him. We don’t need that kind of player and no matter how good he is we are better off without him if that’s the case. He was just here a few days ago saw a great environment and had a good visit. If he comes to UK, great get. If he doesn’t, we are almost assuredly better off. We win either way imo.

yea, glad we did not get guys like Barrett and Zion since they wanted to be the guy. Sure backfired on dUKe did it not. Oh wait….34 point loss.

I can understand him wanting to stay home, but UGA absolutely stinks. He will play one year, have no postseason and then off to the nba.

They’ll sure as shiit not stink if they get him. Write that down right now. He’s the real deal. Whoever said we would be better off not getting him is just plain basketball stupid!!! No matter the reason.
