Andrew Wiggins with your casual 720 dunk

Andrew Wiggins is one of the bounciest players to ever bounce and this new video he shared proves just that. Watch as the former almost-Wildcat goes up for a 720-degree dunk — that’s two 360s!!!!
Gotta think he missed it, but still. That’s not human.

Facebook is a hell of a drug.
Not to diminish the impressiveness of this because obviously the guy is an athletic freak, but the whole concept of the 720 dunk is a myth, I’m not sure humans are even capable of doing it yet. If you look at how his body is positioned when he takes off, landing this dunk would have been more of a 540 instead of a 720 (still awesome). Same thing goes for the guy that did it a few years ago for the And 1 thing, they’re always starting their rotation before they leave the ground
Exactly, I noticed the same thing.
If we wanted to get really technical, we can look at the fact that at the time he is attempting to dunk the ball, his torso is facing away from the rim, approximately 90 degrees worth. All in all, this attempted dunk is closer to a 360 than a 720.
Call me a hater. but that’s not a 720. that’s a 480
His feet are facing away from the rim and make 1.5 rotations from the time he jumps to the time he dunks.
360 * 1.5 = 480
You should check your math there, Sport.
360*1.5=540, not 480.
bleh… yeah stl cat was right… and im too tired to do math… 540, not 480

Yeah, jaybrat is right to point out that Wiggie starts with both feet planted facing away from the basket. He makes one complete turn (360) and, to my eye, makes another quarter turn (90), his body facing the near sideline, when he puts the ball in the net to his right. Call it a 450.
Sorry, Drew. 450, 480, 540, whatev. It’s impressive, but it’s not “two 360s!!!!” Bless your wide-eyed enthusiasm.
I’d be thrilled if I could jump and do a 90.
I know right! Or maybe even a 45 for me!
Yup, it’s a 540, but still incredible.
