Kentucky’s 2018 recruiting has been quiet over the last few months, but according to one expert, it won’t stay that way for long. Rivals’ Corey Evans says he believes John Calipari will get three commitments by the early signing period in November: Immanuel Quickley, Zion Williamson, and either Keldon Johnson, Cam Reddish, or Quentin Grimes.
By now, you’ve heard all about Quickley and Williamson, but Johnson is a relatively new name on the scene. The second best shooting guard in the 2018 class got an offer from Kentucky earlier this week, and Evans reports that he left Lexington so impressed he may go ahead and commit.
“They hosted Keldon Johnson, another five-star prospect, this past week for an unofficial visit, where their offer impressed him greatly. He will visit Texas and Florida State next month, with Maryland and NC State also being in the hunt, but UK is now sitting as one of the favorites.”
Duke’s had all the momentum in recruiting lately, but if Kentucky lands Quickley, Williamson, AND Johnson, Reddish, or Grimes? It’s a whole new ballgame.
