Trebek remained the host of Jeopardy throughout his treatments and vowed to keep hosting until he could no longer, keeping his word until the very end.
Despite his life-changing diagnosis, Trebek continued to light up American screens with his wit and charm.
I once had a teacher who met Trebek. The teacher mistakenly mispronounced a word in the meeting and Trebek quickly corrected him and moved on without missing a beat. Icon. When a guy is that smart and yet that kind, you can’t even be mad. What an honor to be corrected by Alex Trebek himself.
Rest in peace, Alex.
