Alcohol and Axes, What could go wrong?

Louisville’s newest attraction is creating quite the buzz.

“Flying Axes” is exactly what it sounds like.  Participants will be able to pay about $20 to spend an hour throwing axes at targets, but that isn’t the fun part.  Yesterday Flying Axes filed for an alcoholic-beverage license.  Not only do you get to sling blades, you get to do it while intoxicated.

“Alcohol” and “ax-throwing” are two phrases that don’t go well together, but the future attraction near NuLu is not the first of its kind.  Ax-throwing ranges that mimic the Top Golf model opened in Philadelphia, New York and Chicago in the last year.

“Flying Axes” may terrify some, but not Tai Wynyard.

I am definitely down for that. Probably going to hold off on the brewskis while the axes are flying, though.

Some people call it a sling blade; I call it a Kaiser blade.

I mean, KY voted in Matt Bevin…. would you expect anything different?

  5. You can buy hand axes for $5 each at Harbor Freight and do this in your back yard all the time. Why pay someone else $20?
