Alabama Offensive Lineman is Officially Visiting Kentucky

One of the biggest from the Alabama trenches is coming to Kentucky’s campus.

Three-star offensive tackle Joshua Jones is using his first official visit to see the University of Kentucky. A 6’6″ 300-pound prospect from Phoenix City, Alabama, Rivals ranks Jones as the No. 58 offensive tackle in America.

Jones is another incredibly gifted athlete interested in UK, thanks to Jon Sumrall. The first-year assistant has been tearing up the recruiting trail in the state of Alabama. The Cats made Jones’ top six, joining LSU, Miss. State, Florida State, Tennessee and N.C. State.

A bruising right tackle, Jones has a knack for punishing opponents.

One person who will not be on campus today is cornerback Marco Domio. KSR has learned the No. 4 JUCO player in America has rescheduled his official to later this month, most likely the next big recruiting event the weekend of June 21.

Aside from the official visitors, there are still a few ongoing camps at the UK football facility. This morning rising sophomore Treyveon Longmire worked out for the Kentucky coaching staff. UK extended a scholarship offer to the Corbin athlete in the spring, setting in motion a wave of offers from other power five programs. He’ll most likely play defensive back at the next level.

If you’re 6’6″ and can’t push high school kids around that are 2/3rd your size, don’t bother playing. I find it hilarious when KSR writers talk about these guys knocking kids around. DUH!

I’m really excited to see how Longmire does these next three years. This young man has a chance to be a special athlete.
