It’s Monday and you know what that means: An all new episode of the Aaron Torres Podcast. Aaron reacts to the Big Ten and Pac-12’s decision to play league-only games in football and explains why it isn’t all bad news. Then he turns his attention to basketball, with a fun interview with NBA Draft expert Matt Babcock. Here is a rundown of today’s show:
What the Big Ten’s decision means for the rest of College Football: Aaron opens the show by discussing the Big Ten and Pac-12’s decision to play only league games in college football. Aaron explains why this actually could be viewed as a good sign for getting football on the field, and why it doesn’t necessarily mean that other conferences will follow suit. Also he explains why he believes why football will still likely happen in the fall, and why players have more to lose than anybody if a game doesn’t get played.
NBA Draft expert Matt Babcock: Aaron then turns his attention to basketball, where he is joined by NBA Draft expert Matt Babcock. Aaron asks Matt where the NBA Draft process is, are teams actually learning anything new about players at this point, and can players actually improve their stock between now and August 3rd? Then the guys discuss whether Obi Toppin can go No. 1, was James Wiseman hurt by leaving Memphis, and a loaded 2021 draft class.
