Aaron Torres Sports Podcast Ep. 266: NBA bubble excitement + how to bet sports when they return with James Alberino

It’s Monday, and you know that means: A new edition of the Aaron Torres Sports Podcast. Aaron opens the show by discussing his excitement for the NBA’s return, after details were announced this weekend. Then he is joined by his old buddy the Spread Investor, James Alberino to discuss how to bet sports when they return.

Here is a rundown of today’s show:

NBA bubble excitement: On Friday the NBA announced scheduling plans for their return to the court July 30th, and Aaron is excited. He explains why – after being critical for the league’s slow return – the NBA did its fan well with the schedule. He explains how big games and good matchups should draw fans in early, and then discusses how this could be a good platform for young players like Ja Morant, Devin Booker and Luka Doncic to become stars to casual fans.

How to bet sports when they return: Next up Aaron is joined by one of the top handicappers in the game, the “Spread Investor” James Alberino to talk about how to bet sports when they return in a few weeks. James explains why he expects a lot of low scoring games early, and wonders how much stars like LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard will play until the playoffs start. Then he discusses some of the radar teams to watch, young players like Tyler Herro he is excited to see, before he transitions to a little bit of baseball talk. Finally, Aaron and James discuss how a lack of crowds could have an impact on sports like college football and college basketball in the fall and winter.
