Kentucky’s wide receivers have been underwhelming in 2018. Lynn Bowden has caught 56 passes, just one less than the other eight who have recorded receptions. As UK searches for reliable pass-catching options, one promising prospect put up mind-blowing numbers.
UK commit Demarcus Harris had an incredible senior campaign. He finished his season as the state’s second-leading receiver. The three-star prospect caught 63 passes for 1,463 yards and 16 touchdowns. Harris averaged 23.2 yards per reception and 133 yards a game.
His numbers are even more impressive when you consider the competition. Vero Beach High School is an 8A school, the largest class of football in Florida.
The under-the-radar prospect’s play speaks for itself. After watching him burn people by playing North-South football, you will wonder why Kentucky was the first major player to seek Harris’ services.
