A horse named after New England Patriot’s tight end Rob Gronkowski will run in the Kentucky Derby.

Gronkowski won the 32nd Burradon Stake in Newcastle, England on Friday.

“I love the New England Patriots, and as Rob Gronkowski is 6-5 and about the same wide, I thought it would be an appropriate name for the horse, as he’s built much the same,” owner Kerri Radcliffe told the Racing Post last month.

We’ve had this dream, and now the dream is alive,” trainer Jeremy Noseda told At The Races.

Gronkowski and the New England Patriots love the Kentucky Derby. There is no doubt they will be attending this year.
