’98 Champ Wayne Turner to Sign New UK Art Tribute Poster This Saturday

For fans who may want to meet UK’s great point guard from the 1998 NCAA Championship team and get his signature on the new tribute poster to that 7th title, Wayne Turner will be available for the BBN this weekend.  This Saturday 2/16 before the big UK-Tennessee game, “Wildcat Legends” is proud to release its beautiful new art tribute poster of UK’s 1998 National Championship team, entitled “The ComeBack Cats.”  The poster is being released this season during the 20th Anniversary of the defense of that title, in which the team rallied from large deficits in numerous NCAA tournament games, including the championship game against Utah. The colorful, photo-realistic art features all 13 team members and Coach Tubby Smith, plus a post-championship game trophy celebration that includes posthumous tributes to former UK greats C.M. Newton and Bill Keightley.
In addition to Turner’s autograph, Final Four MOP Jeff Sheppard’s signature has been pre-signed on the poster. The Sheppard-Turner-signed poster is available for $45, or the unsigned poster is only $15; “Wildcat Legends” artist David Bryan Blondell will also be on hand to autograph either version of the poster at no additional cost. Personal memorabilia items cans also be signed by Wayne for $15 per signature.
The pre-game Poster-release event will be held in the hours before the 8pm tip-off in the Lexington Center mall foodcourt (immediately adjacent to Rupp Arena), in front of Your Frame Of Mind Galleries, and WAYNE TURNER WILL BE THERE FROM 6:30—7:30.
ALL fans are welcome to attend and add this beautiful art print to their collection, regardless if they have game tickets or not. Please visit or see their Facebook page at for more information.
