71 percent of Kentucky wants LeBron to win a title in Cleveland

lebron-cavs

According to the 3,274 Kentuckians who voted in SportsNation’s poll, 71 percent of the state is rooting for LeBron James to win at least one NBA championship in Cleveland. That 71 percent is likely all UK fans hoping LeBron wins next season so the Cavs keep David Blatt. The 29 percent is likely Louisville fans hoping LeBron calls John Calipari next summer to take over the team.

So I’ll ask you, KSR readers. Are you rooting for LeBron to get a ring back home?

I’d like to see him win a couple, beginning with one next season.

I’m rooting for whatever will keep Coach Cal in Lexington for as long as possible.

I don’t really care either way. I just hope we win #9.

Do you people really care if LeBron wins a title or not?? Do you think he cares about what you do? Focus on yourself and what you do!

Who the hell is Lebron, what the hell does he do, and why the hell does he have to do it in Cleveland?

I voted no because Cleveland fans remind me of UofL fans. Nothing against Lebron.

  7. Why is this news?
    5:03 pm July 28, 2014 Permalink

If you look at the entire US % (63) that want Lebron to win a title it’s pretty close to Kentucky’s % (71). So since you implied that Kentucky fans only voted to keep Cal is that the same reason the entire United States did? Your reasoning and speculation are just flat off and most people including Kentuckians just admire that he went back to Cleveland and are rooting for him for that reason alone.

I detest the existence of louisville (loserville). I want Lebron and Cleveland to win a title next year, that way I do not have to worry about Calipari being a coach at Cleveland. Calipari is a decent college coach and that is where he needs to stay, he is a poor NBA coach. I don’t care where Calipari coaches, I just don’t want him near Cleveland.

I wish everyone gets off this until Cal saus he is leaving UK stop. Remember LJ told Cal a few years ago he hopes he stays at UK long enough to coach LB JR.

  11. I root against Kyrie

I’m basically rooting against Lebron because of Kyrie Irving. I don’t really hate the guy but he has had a healthy rivalry with John Wall since they went back to back #1. So I don’t like a Dukie getting more ink than our boy. Plus, if they get Kevin Love, you add a Bruin to the mix and it just gets that much more sickening.
