Bourbon Night debuts at KSBar and Grille this coming Friday with the spotlight on Eagle Rare, an award-winning whiskey from the Buffalo Trace Distillery.
Eagle Rare’s 10-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon will be the featured bourbon of the evening, with $5 pours of Eagle Rare beginning at 4 p.m. and running until KSBar runs out (or closes, whichever happens first). If you were to order an Eagle Rare somewhere that’s not KSBar and Grille on Bourbon Night, you’re going to pay more than twice that because it is a very popular and sought-after bourbon. A glass is usually in the neighborhood of $12 at most non-Applebee’s sit-down dining establishments.
So it’s an absolute steal for the price and should attract Eagle Rare fans, but Bourbon Night is also a good opportunity for the bourbon drinker who wants to try new things but can’t buy a couple of $70 bottles each trip to the liquor store. KSBar’s new Bourbon Night is a chance to taste higher end bourbons for the first time to see what you like and what you don’t, or to learn what all of the hype is about behind the names you recognize.
Or you can have the bartender pour yours into your Mountain Dew and you can drink it through a straw while crushing wings with both hands. Choose your own adventure, bud.
What’s neat about bourbon (lol “neat” about bourbon nailed it) is it’s just as much about the experience, and this coming Friday at KSBar and Grille is an opportunity to experience a very good bourbon from Buffalo Trace.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to make some calls to find out who approved giving away Eagle Rare for $5 on a Friday night.
