Kash Daniel burst onto the scene a couple of months ago and has become a national recruit after 247Sports recently gave him a 4th star. The Paintsville, KY native is ranked as the 9th best Inside-Linebacker in the 2016 class and the 226th best player overall. As reported a week or so ago here on KSR, Kash will cut his list to four relatively soon before making a final decision in August. So, what is going on with the big-time recruit?
Kash helped lead Paintsville to a very good baseball season that just ended with a loss to state-bound Lawrence County. The 6’3” 215 pound Daniel hit .374 while driving in 35 runs. He also was very good on the mound, finishing with a 2-3 record and 3.22 ERA. He struck out 44 batters and walked just 16 in 37 innings.
In the weight room Kash just squatted 475 pounds. Video or it didn’t happen? Check out this video on his Instagram.
Off the field, Kash continues to enjoy nearly everyday now that school is out based on the tweets and pictures on his Twitter account.
This is a recruit that Kentucky football fans probably are, and definitely should be, following closely. He continues to shoot up the national rankings and has been making a splash at every camp he attends. Kash has the size and strength to play in the SEC and the matching speed to help him make an instant impact. On top of all of that, he is a Kentucky kid from Paintsville that Mark Stoops and his staff has honed in on as a guy they can’t let leave the state. Currently, his 247 Crystal Ball is 100% UK.
