With an added focus aimed at Kentucky’s offense thanks to the hiring of Liam Coen, the ‘Cats are in search of talented pass-catchers.

While UK doesn’t currently have any pure wide-receivers committed to the class of 2022, they could be on the cusp of convincing one to suit up for the blue and white. On Thursday afternoon, Tajh Sanders, a three-star wide-receiver prospect out of Valdosta, GA dropped his top five potential college choices with Kentucky making the cut.

Miami (FL), Mississippi State, Florida State, and Kansas State filled out the rest of his list. Sanders also holds offers from the likes of Arkansas, Louisville, Michigan State, Nebraska, TCU, and Tennessee.

247 Sports and Rivals both rank Sanders as a three-star player from the class of 2022, with 247 Sports tabbing him as the No. 420 prospect in the country and a top 60 receiver. What’s interesting about Sanders is neither of the websites referenced claim that he holds an offer from Kentucky, and going back through his Twitter profile, there is no mention of UK extending a scholarship, although that doesn’t necessarily mean he doesn’t have one.

Regardless, Sanders and head coach Mark Stoops both follow each other on social media, so there is clearly a connection. Clocking in at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, Sanders is a multi-sport high school athlete with good speed and the ability to make sharp cuts on the run. He also returned punts at Valdosta High School this past season and proved to be an elusive player to tackle in the open field.

This Kid looks strong would like to see him improve his speed Lil bit. If he can bump his speed up he looks like being on verge of a 4*. He has some good strength, feet work, stop and go stuff.
