Podziemski is ranked as high as No. 72 overall in the senior class by 247Sports, with the outlet listing the 6-foot-5 guard as the No. 16 shooting guard in the nation. ESPN lists Podziemski as a four-star prospect and No. 29 shooting guard in the class, while Rivals lists the UK target as a three-star.
The Delafield, WI native was named Wisconsin Mr. Basketball back in March after averaging 35.1 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 4.0 steals as a senior. He finished with 947 points on the year to give him 2,154 over the course of his high school career.
As for Kentucky’s interest in the standout scoring guard, John Calipari and the UK coaching staff made a surprise offer back on Oct. 14, 2020.

Despite the offer, UK hasn’t been mentioned as a top suitor in recent months. Instead, Illinois picked up two FutureCasts over at Rivals back in March, with Podziemski taking an unofficial, self-guided campus visit to Champaign, IL this past weekend.
