2021 five-star guard Kennedy Chandler trims list to ten, Kentucky makes cut

Jon Lopez | Nike

2021 five-star guard Kennedy Chandler trimmed his list to ten on Friday evening, and a Kentucky made the cut.

In his first official list cut, Kentucky was joined by Duke, Florida State, Kansas, Memphis, Michigan, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and USC.

Here was the announcement:

Chandler is considered the No. 15 prospect in the 2021 247Sports Composite Rankings, with Rivals having him listed the highest at No. 11 overall and the No. 1 point guard in the junior class.

At 6-foot-1, 165 pounds, Chandler is seen as a gritty, pit bull lead guard, with recent comparisons being former Kentucky star Tyler Ulis.

Kentucky head coach John Calipari visited the five-star guard on Dec. 13, offered a scholarship on Dec. 25, and followed it up with another visit on Dec. 30.

Prior to the trio of events in December, UK assistant coach Joel Justus visited Chandler on Sept. 18, followed by a trip from Calipari on Sept. 30.

Check out some of his most recent highlights below:

Come on down, Mr. Chandler.

I’d love to have this kid come to Kentucky, he’s going to be a great one and with his size, will probably be at least a two year player. Seems like a cool cat and I’m sure other great players will want to play with him. Bring him home Cal.
