One of Kentucky’s top remaining recruiting targets in the class of 2020 is set to make a decision.
This evening, 2020 top-ten prospect Greg Brown announced on his Instagram page that a “decision [is] coming soon.”
Brown, a 6-foot-9 forward out of Austin, TX, is considered a consensus top-ten prospect and the No. 1 power forward in the senior class.
The five-star forward has cut his list to five schools, with Auburn, Kentucky, Memphis, Michigan, and Texas remaining in contention.
Back in January, Brown took his official visit to Kentucky during the team’s win over Alabama. Just days after, the prized target blogged about his trip for Sports Illustrated, raving about the Rupp Arena crowd and his relationship with the UK coaching staff.
I’m just coming off my visit to Kentucky last weekend and it was a great visit. I loved the environment, the coaches, the players really, genuinely wanted me to come there.
The fans were chanting, “We want Greg!” at the game and that was crazy because they’re so loud there. Everyone was telling me that Kentucky had a wild fan base, but they exceeded what I was expecting.
I think the highlight was the game. The second half was so live and everyone was in to the game. You could feel the energy.
Considered one of the most ferocious dunkers and freak athletes in all of high school basketball, you’re going to want to check out some of his most recent highlights while we wait for a decision:
Come on down.
