In news that shouldn’t come as a major shock to the BBN, 2020 five-star guard Josh Christopher cut his list down to five late last night, and the Kentucky Wildcats were included.

In addition to Kentucky, the top-ten prospect included Missouri, Arizona State, UCLA, and Michigan in the final cut.

Christopher earned an offer from Kentucky last week after an impressive run at the Peach Jam, in which he averaged 20.8 points (43.4% shooting), 6.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists in five games. A lifelong Kentucky fan, the 6’4″ shooting guard called an offer from John Calipari a dream come true.

“I mean, shoot, it’s Kentucky. It’s Calipari,“ he told KSR. “I think any player that’s in high school appreciates what Calipari brings to the table. Of course, being myself, a kid, you always watch Kentucky. You always watch guys like Anthony Davis, John Wall, stuff like that. Of course you appreciate that and take it into consideration [when making a college decision].”

While Kentucky making Christopher’s final five is big news in itself, it’s also noteworthy because he and Jalen Green, the No. 3 prospect in the 2020 class, have talked about playing together at the next level; in fact, the two teamed up in Vegas yesterday to give fans a sneak peek of what that might look like.

As Christopher said in the comments of that video, they truly are a dynamic duo.

Not only possible but i believe it happens. Add Fletcher, Todd, Omoruyi, and another one or two and i believe that’s the class. Cal will of course look at grad transfers.

This may just be me, but I think Christopher is the best player in high school right now. He’s a leader and winner. Plays the whole game and every play like it’s his last and you just can’t teach those little things like that. Plus he’s really talented with a great personality and being great friends with Green who is a athletic freak and really great player only helps. Lol.

Now I know a lot of people like Boston, and I do to, but no where near Joshua. He’s just not close to being ready Physicality for the SEC, and again this is only my opinion and would like to have him but just comparing the two I want Christopher all day.

Give me Christopher, Green, an either one of Nix or Cooper, and you got the starting front court of a National Championship team. It’s looking like a Final Four year this year, a lot of big time players on this team, and I mean Dogs!!!! Are we the luckiest fan base in America or what? Lol.
