Yahtzee! 2016 WR/ATH Zy’Aire Hughes commits to Kentucky

YAHTZEE strikes again for the third time this weekend. Reports are coming out from 247 Sports and Josh Edwards that 2016 Athlete/Wide Receiver Zy’Aire Hughes has committed to Kentucky. Hughes is from McCracken County and committed after his high school team competed in 7 v. 7 today at UK.

Hughes was one of Kentucky’s big in-state targets in a loaded 2016 class for the state of Kentucky. Hughes is an impressive prospect who has drawn rave reviews for his immense athleticism. Hughes held offers from Purdue and Western Kentucky, and was also receiving interest from Louisville and Tennessee.

Keep the dice rolling, Stoops.

Ally….I have been watching these Yahtzees’ lately and noticed that many have been recruited by Louisville….I was wondering if you could do a post that gives a count of how many recruits UK has beaten Louisville out for? I’m talking actual recruits….not just ones who were interested in Louisville
It would be nice to see this stat….seems like there are very many lately.

It’s called actually being excited about the prospect of having a respectable football team, which is apparently lost on “fans” like you.

These guys have numerous SEC offers, much more important than having a UL offer.

The article says this fella had offers from Purdue and WKU…are they “sposed to be SEC” also?

#2: The hype? I don’t see us celebrating any “hype”. I see us celebrating the fact that we’re recruiting at a level that modern UK football has never seen. By your logic I guess we should just ignore the fact that we’re recruiting far and away better than we have since the 1970’s and just be negative. Our coach has went through ONE season so far. ONE. You act like he’s been there for 5 years and we’ve just all been brainwashed into liking him.

The kid is a screaming jet. Has enough size and speed to play at any program in the country.

I’ve seen this kid play a few times and he’s electric. If you give him foot of space he’s putting up 6. Great pickup.
