2016 Basketball Recruit Talks Injury, Cats

Overall #1 2016 recruit Harry Giles was recently invited to last week’s Elite 24 game, and not just because his name makes him sound like a fancy British butler.  I’m sure that was part of the reason, but the other part is probably because he can do stuff like this:

However, Giles wasn’t able to attend due because of a knee injury that required surgery to repair his ACL, MCL, and meniscus, according to Zagsblog.

He should have plenty of chances to play in invitationals in the future, and will almost certainly be a name to listen for in coming years.

Giles, out of North Carolina, has an offer from Kentucky, along with Duke and UNC.  His teammate, Theo Pinson, is a Tarheel commit.

2016 with an ACL injury? He’ll probably end up number 10-15 by the end of his senior season.

A terrible triad injury is no joke…if he doesn’t rehab really well re-injury is pretty likely

That injury was such a bummer. Before it happened Giles was showing the potential to be the next Wiggins-level super recruit. It’ll be interesting to see how the rest of his high school career progresses.
