2015 Kentucky QB says UK is His Leader

Are you ready for some 2015 UK football recruiting? Well maybe you aren’t, but you should be as UK may be doing even better with the 2015 kids than they are in 2014. One of those kids is QB Elijah Sindelar of Caldwell County. Sindelar is 6’4″ with a big arm and has been a recruiting priority for Mark Stoops, Neil Brown and the staff. They were the first major school to offer him and now as he stands ranked #9 amongst all QBs by, that work has paid off. According to Justin Rowland of Cats Illustrated, Sindelar says UK is his leader at this time. He ranks the Cats #1, followed by Alabama at #2. At this time, Sindelar does not have a Bama offer but that may change as the year progresses.

It is still a long way away and who knows what the final result will be. But with Drew Barker in the fold and now another top in-state QB looking at the Cats, worries at the position may dissipate very soon.

Way to continue to use premium info from Rivals. You should be proud to be known as a modern Robin Hood.

I saw this kid a couple weeks ago and was thoroughly impressed. Kids a great athlete with a big arm. We’d be fortunate to land him. Best high school QB I’ve seen in a long time around these parts.

Elijah is the real deal folks! His team is averaging 50 points a game and he uses his cannon several times a game with great placement if the ball for long yardage receptions/td’s. Can’t wait for November when Caldwell will play Mayfield, both hopefully still undefeated and ranked 1st in the state in their classes. The kid is also amazingly talented and both baseball and basketball as well! Pure athlete.

There are several good options at qb for the 2015 class. Sindelar, Jarrett Stidham (who I would love to have, personally), Reese Ryan, etc. We just need to make sure we snag one of them. Everyone who watches Sindelar in person says he’s excellent. Jarrett Stidham intrigues me because he’s a dude from Corbin/Richmond doing it up big in Texas, and all the recruiting people who watch him say he has enormous upside. And we do have a legitimate shot with him, him still being a UK fan and having family here and whatnot. Reese Ryan I don’t know as much about, although he looks to be fairly highly ranked as well. But we need to make sure we get at least one of these kids. By 2015 we will hopefully have several talented QBs on the roster with Drew and one of these kids and a matured Towles, and the days of mediocrity at quarterback will be long gone.

Plays for my former HS Coach David Barnes! Great to see Coach Barnes finally have a player with high caliber getting looks from FCS Schools. A great coach with a great heart! Hopefully the kid pans out!

If he makes past the Mayfield game undefeated he could be Mr football as their schedule is very weak

Best thing about sindelar is his high character and values. Kid is about as good as they come on and off the field. He won’t win mr football due to being a junior. If he wins it next year, it won’t be shocking but it won’t come easy considering he’s losing all but one of his offensive linemen.

Btw, they are a 2a school and have played 5a Christian county and ohio county, and 3a Trigg and a good fort Campbell team. Mayfield is a great team. They play Murray in their district as well as Ballard memorial, a team that is 5-0 and averaging 49 points a game. Can’t tell me their schedule is that weak for a 2a school. They replaced a down franklin Simpson and Calloway county with Christian county and fort Campbell. I’d say that was an upgrade to their schedule this year. There was a certain ranked 6a school that refused to play Caldwell when they were trying to schedule.

He’s better than Barker right now. Not close. Better arm, better speed, better athlete.

I’ve seen A LOT of good high school players, both throughout the state of Kentucky several other top programs in other states.

Sindelar is the best QB I’ve ever seen in high school. He could START next weekend for ANY non sec school as a junior in high school.

UK is also recruiting the RB, Soph Jaylen Boyd and possibly Dee Cain from Caldwell.

I live in Caldwell County and this kid is the real deal, remember people hes only a Junior and already has coaches salivating. And the reason for that is that hes not only got great size but he also is intelligent and just a good kid all around. I was kinda iffy on him until the Trigg game last week when he scrambled several times and got away from possible sacks for losses, he is the real deal. And anybody who says Caldwell has a weak schedule is just talking out of their butt because their schedule with Ft. Campbell, Christian Co. and Mayfield is as tough as anybodys. Don’t get me wrong these kids have a few spots that need work but if they continue to play together and grow they should be right back in the 2A championship game this year and the next few.

Elijah Sindelar’s greatest asset may not be his arm but his head…both on and off the field…He’s smart, cool, calm and a natural leader, and a top academic student too. Any school that has an interest in him better “get on tha ball”..
Lol…barring some unforseen catastrophe this kid’s stock should go nowhere but straight up!!! Anyone wanting to see a video of him see “Johnny Beavers” Facebook page as I will be posting team videos now and in the future.
