2014 commit Mike Edwards separates shoulder

BTIXGNhCMAAE1MM

It was also a rough weekend for Mike Edwards, one of Kentucky’s 2014 commitments. Edwards separated his shoulder in his team’s game yesterday, and will be out 1-3 weeks. Edwards, Rivals’ 35th best safety in the 2014 class, tweeted the picture above last night. Nice shirt, Mike, and get well soon.

Speaking of the 2014 commitments, Mikel Horton tweeted this evening that all of the commits will be at UK’s home opener this Saturday to support the team:

Same. Go Cats.

I have 2 tickets that will not be used. I am protesting that awful crap we just witnessed and will not be there, nor will I give up the seats.

Nobody is abandoning the team. It’s understandable to see the disappointment and negativity after what we seen Saturday. The only positive thing from the game is we got so far behind he wisely decided to put Smith in. I feel so much better going forward with Smith as the starter.

4, that has a lot to say about your character! A new staff with a winning pedigree is here, and you have irrational and uneducated expectations. Please go be a UL fan!

@4. I know you don’t have seats, your a troll trying to be negative. If your a ticket holder what seats will be open and what is the average parking pass cost? Prove to us your not lying.

#4 is a dbag. You guys have got to give Stoops and Co. some time! Be patient! How is it that a 17 year old recruit from OHIO is a better fan than you?!?! You’re a POS

People like #4 are exactly who operation Occupy Commonwealth are protecting our Football kids from. They work too hard, have too much heart and desire to have to be subjected to these types moronic mumbles. Your lack of presence is what this program needs. I think the REAL 64,998 fans can be loud and proud without you. So keep your tickets and keep feeding the program fund, thanks! GO BIG BLUE!

It’s undeniable, this season is going to hurt… a lot. BUT…. take a new point of view won’t you please? This year we are recruiters. You can’t blame a great deal on Stoops when you saw the missed tackles, the lack of anyone who can actually catch a football… THIS SEASON we must represent the BBN praying for a future. We MUST show the Matt Elam’s of the world that we are the mighty BBN and there’s no reason to go elsewhere because there’s NOWHERE who will show you love more than the BIG BLUE UNIVERSE!

From this game onward we are recruiters people. If you don’t want to see more like the game last year, you must do everything in your ability to get kids who CAN tackle and who CAN catch footballs. If we don’t put our butts in seats this year, we deserve every empty seat for years to come.

The future is up to Stoops mostly, but it can’t be denied that how we as a fan-base approach the rest of this season will either help make or help break our hopes for seasons to come.

You wanted Petrino? Me too. But we don’t have him. And I think with real-deal players on the field like Matt Elam, Blake Bone, et al, He and his staff WILL do amazing things in UK’s future.
