Big man Thomas Bryant commits to Indiana

Things are looking up for Tom Crean and Indiana! Just kidding. Things are still pretty bleak here.

Today at the Dick’s Sporting Goods National Tournament, Four-star Thomas Bryant from Huntington Prep committed to Indiana. Bryant was on the Kentucky radar, but his mom said in an interview she didn’t think the Cats were a good fit for her son.

Good luck in your college career, Bryant!

I guess he wants to be a one-man show.

Pretty sure he is not who we wanted anyways and he knew it, mom probably got her info from UK staff. He seems to be more of a me player than we player. Brown, Newman, Diallo, Zimmerman {or at least 3 of them} to go with Matthews, Skal and Briscoe is the ideal situation. Add them, or at least 6 of them, to who comes back and we are young but very talented and they all, once again, seem to be good young men.

Best of luck to the kid, Kentucky isn’t for everyone. Hope he has a great college career.

No sense in trashing some kid because he didn’t pick Kentucky. I’m not saying anyone is, or will, but you folks know how stupid some of our fanbase is.

I am not bashing him and I see you are not accusing us of that. I have seen him play a few times and personally I don’t think he is as good as others we have coming in or will get and I felt the same way about Bragg who I saw here in Ohio quite a bit. I also did not see them as guys that would be happy playing 12-20 minutes per game like may be the case for them at UK. I have heard our staff was not real high on Bryant, rumor or fact I don’t know.
