Surely a team cannot gain over 600 yards of offense and still lose, right? Come on, this is Commonwealth Stadium, of course they can. Kentucky prevailed 38-26 over a game Vanderbilt, and folks, Kentucky is going bowling. This is why you go to college for five years.
Kentucky’s three-pronged attack of Woodson-Burton-Little was otherworldly. Woody’s career day included 450 yards, 4 TD’s and 0 INTs. Burton was simply uncoverable in surprising single-coverage, and Little had over 250 yards of total offense.
The defense was wretched once again, but stepped up when they had to, including 3 endzone INT’s. Plenty more coverage to come, but right now I have to keep the bourbon train rolling lest I take a nap.
