Some quick highlights:

  • UK’s starting wide receivers are Ryan Timmons, Javess Blue, Demarco Robinson, and Joey Herrick
  • The backup quarterback is Reese Phillips OR Drew Barker
  • Braylon Heard is your starting running back
  • Bud Dupree is listed as the starter at SLB, with Jason Hatcher getting the starting nod at defensive end, and of course Za’Darius Smith holding it down at the other defensive end spot.
  • The battle for starting WLB continues between Ryan Flannigan and Khalid Henderson
  • Darrian Miller is not listed on the depth chart, which is worrisome. Hopefully we’ll have an update from Stoops soon during his presser…

Seriously…that is a huge loss to our O line. Whats the deal?

Prediction: we’re gonna score a lot of points. I don’t know how well our defense is going to do, but I think our offense will be explosive. I feel pretty good about this depth chart

Everyone has said the D is ahead of the O after watching practice. FWIW

      NL loves the D.

Is that Al Bundy speaking into a megaphone? Maybe he can teach the running backs about how he ran for 4 touchdowns in a game at Polk High.

LT Darrian Miller, a 2-yr starter, will miss season opener for violation of team rules, according to source http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/writer/jeremy-fowler/24679154/kentucky-ol-darrian-miller-suspended-one-game

I like having Dupree and Hatcher on the field at the same time. I think Hatcher should be a LB because of his size, but whatever. I’m surprised the starting CB’s are not Willis and Harmon and that Cory Johnson isn’t starting DT.

Looks like we have the deepest group of DTs in our history.

    • Buddy
      1:22 pm August 25, 2014 Permalink

Hatcher is best with his hand in the ground…has an extremely fast first step. Bud is more agile, has better hips and can cover better….but when we decide to bring Bud it will be interesting…. Elam and Lewis have the size to eat up 2 blocks, then you could have Zadarius, Bud, and Hatcher firing and a guy like Meant….

That’s a lot to deal with. Bud Dupree this year will play like jarvis Jones did at UGA.

4 redshirt Freshman on the OL, including 2 that are listed over seniors. Credit Stoops for stocking away good talent and letting it develop for another year.

What is surprising to me is that a former 4 star, Army All-American player is not even on the depth chart. Has Glenn Faulkner just vanished? Seems like he never recovered from showing up right before the season started his freshman year.

Was just about to ask about Faulkner. Thought he may have transferred, but no, still on the team as far as I can see.
