YAHTZEE! Former Kentucky receiver JaVonte Richardson announces he’s returning to Lexington

@JiggOcho_

How about a Yahtzee for the Big Blue Nation on this beautiful Sunday evening?

Former Kentucky receiver and current JUCO product JaVonte Richardson has announced he will return to Kentucky next season.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound wideout initially left Lexington last spring due to academic issues, where he enrolled at Iowa Western Community College to get his grades back in order. This season at Iowa Western, Richardson has racked up 305 yards and three touchdowns in just six games.

247 Sports ranks Richardson as the No. 2 JUCO wide receiver and No. 17 overall prospect in the country. Rivals.com also lists Richardson as a four-star prospect.

With the commitment, Kentucky’s 2019 class moves up to No. 25 on Rivals.com. According to Justin Rowland, the newest Wildcat will arrive in January and will have three years to play three.

Here was his announcement on Twitter:

Yes…for the first time in QB history our QB can’t throw…go figure

How can you say Wilson can’t throw?? He has a good arm.

    Fantastic.
Now we need a receivers coach and a QB.

Will we throw the ball to him? Other than wide receiver screen

I like the fact that he put in the work to get his school life back together to be able to play. Granted, it is community college, but one can lose all motivation and give up.

Need to start recruiting a QB

They have 4 on the roster. They can’t figure out how to develop them. That’s why the keep going the JUCO route.

Keep going juco route for QBs? Stephen Johnson was thought of as a decent backup qb. Terry was the #1 rated dual threat juco qb. Stephen developed into a nice qb. Terry has 2 more years. I think we can develop him.

You could have told me that was a QB, running back, receiver, or cornerback highlight reel and I wouldn’t disagree. What a strange collection of plays.

The biggest OFFENSIVE YATZEE would be new OC!

Welcome back. Good to see that your got your grades in order, and returning to UK. Shows strong character.

He must have found out that Eddie Gran was leaving, otherwise, no decent offensive player in the country would come to Kentucky.

Can he run routes? Get open? Catch it when he gets open? If he can, can we get the NCAA to grant immediate eligibility for the remainder of this season?

Some of our guys actually get open. Terri just doesn’t do a very good job of seeing the field.

He hardly ever scans the defense before the snap. Tenn brought pressure all night off the right side and never disguised it, ball snapped, Terry sacked without ever looking.

Great news and glad for the kid. But if I was a wideout, I wouldn’t come to ky right now. Being serious. You’re just a downfield blocker is all

They don’t even do that. When play is not for them they just run deep or run out turn and watch. Did you see the play where Terry looked and main guy was not open, he looked back and Richardson was literaaly standing there watching Terry threw it to him and he never moved, should have come towards the ball to help. WR coach is just as bad as Gram.

So basically, being a die hard Kentucky and Falcons fan living in Tennessee, this has been the worst week of my life. This has provided a small amount of oxygen to breathe.

Great that he has his grades in order, but it looks like he developed a drinking problem along the way if he’s choosing the place where WRs go to die.

Hate to sound this way….but with all these so called “Yahtzee’s” I cant understand why we were dominated, outplayed, and out coached by UT who’s obviously not very good. Barely beat Vandy and MIZZ. Yahtzee! Yahtzee! Yahtzee! Seems like that’s all ya hear….I was under the impression that Yahtzee was kinda like the grand prize winner winner chicken dinner in the game. So if we have so many of them why do we always nose dive second half of season and play down to our competition? We have one hell of a RB tandem plus a top 10 NFL edge rusher but if we face someone decent in the bowl we’ll get blown out. Sad but true….

The qb recruit we got is supposed to be good but under recruited due to height concerns.
