Whitlow to Green-Beckham?

If’s report proves to be true, Eastern Illinois is going to have one hell of an offense this fall. Josh Newberg is reporting former Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham and former Kentucky quarterback Jalen Whitlow are considering a transfer to Eastern Illinois. Green-Beckham was dismissed from Mizzou on April 11 after a string of off-the-field issues and, as you know, Whitlow left Lexington midway through spring ball.

Whitlow has to be excited about the potential of throwing to the best wide receiver in all of college football next season. That should make the move pretty easy on him.

Whitlow says not so fast.

Won’t both have to sit out next year as transfers?

Because throwing the ball to intended targets is Whitlow’s specialty. Oh wait.

This comment is great because Whitlow is a very bad QB.

EIU has been a pretty successful FCS program over the years. Is Whitlow going to fall in line with Sean Payton, Tony Romo and Jimmy Garoppolo? Wish him the best.

    NOT SO FAST?????

    Green-Beckham is 8 FEET TALL….

Your passes were always 3 FEET OVERTHROWN….

That’s got to equal a 100% PASS COMPLETION PERCENTAGE FOR YOU!

It still baffles me how old people use so many periods to break up a sentence. Also those who can’t spell. No wonder this nation is going to hell.

He’s an obscure uk athlete that people have already forgotten about. His head is astonishingly far up his ass.

The size and athleticism to become an NFL receiver. And he turns that down to fail at QB, which he’ll never be in the NFL. In a pass-happy offense (hopefully) at UK that would allow him to excel at receiver. He making a huge long-term mistake.

Instantly Dorian Green-Beckham’s draft stock drops tremendously. Who will throw him passes?

It does not matter who is at receiver since Whitlow couldn’t get the ball to him anyway.

I wish people would leave Whitlow to be. Listen folks. He wants to play QB. If that is his dream, then I am glad he is transferring. Better to transfer and be happy, than to stay and possibly be a disruption to this team.

Mr. Whitlow, If your heart is set on being a college QB, then I appplaud your decision to transfer. There is nothing wrong with pursuing your dream. However, if you have a dream of playing in the NFL, I suggest you speak to your coaches and se if they have a viable plan to get you there at a different position.

I hear your comments and this is the reason we are leaving uk. Jalen is 100% better than anything u have at uk. His completion% his higher than anyone on that team. I bet u go thru all 3 QBs this yr. Recruits will know about this stuff. Let’s see if any QB u have gets as far as he will go. He has played less QB reps that any D1 QB in his young career and just watch him you r a c I s t – c o w a r d s.

I wish him luck and don’t like people taking about a kid in a bad way either but you have to have a little thicker skin to play QB in a big time league. Calling someone a racist coward and hoping they die soon is a little over the top too. These coaches are better talent evaluators than us and have had a long time to work with him. I wish he would have taken the opportunity the coaches presented but wish him luck wherever he goes.

Barker your savior, 30 percent completion in spring! Kentucky u are funny. Those guys aren’t better than Whitlow or Max. Why do u think Towles was backup? 3 years until a SEC win or luck up and get one in three yrs.

Stoops didn’t come to UK to be DC and Jalen didn’t come to be WR. So you UK fans really think they beat him out? Purely political. Just ignore the fact that he said if he start tomorrow he would start to playing WR a few days later. Pull your head out of your

Look, Jalen seems like a good kid and if he wants to play QB I hope he goes somewhere and is successful. But we all have seen him play. He was our best option last season because he could run not because his passing ability. There is no shame in getting beat out. He had the option to sit as QB or help the team and play WR. The staff wants to run the air raid and needs a guy that can make plays with their arm. Doesn’t mean Jalen is a bad guy just the other guys are better for that system.

So let me get this right. He out passed every QB at UK for the last 2 years. I know the stats ; higher%, more TDs, in spring and games but they are better passers than Jalen. Pure racist! Barker passed for about 35% in spring game and he’s better than Jalen. Pure racist! Stoops said Jalen leading the others then backlash next he needs to be at WR and don’t settle it in the spring game….White p e o p l e your not fooling anybody with your games.
