What outcome will satisfy you?

Tomorrow’s game will go one of several ways.

Ideally, Stephen Johnson will play flawless football in his first career start and lead the Wildcats to a multi-touchdown win over South Carolina for the school’s third straight victory over the Gamecocks. Then the Cats are back to .500 and there’s some hope moving forward. That’s the dream scenario.

But there’s also the more likely scenario: a very close win or loss in a very close game. That’s what Las Vegas predicts, considering this would be a pick ’em if it were on a neutral field.

Then there’s the worst case scenario: South Carolina and its trash offense scores all over Kentucky’s D and wins easily, which could mean the end to Stoops’ career in Lexington.

So let me ask you, Kentucky fans: What outcome will satisfy you? Are you more of a ‘win is a win’ fan or do you want to see a double-digit deficit? Or maybe you’re just so over Stoops that you’re rooting for a loss.

Let’s put it to vote. Tell us what will satisfy you. Obviously you’d be happiest with a 50-point win, but tell us what outcome is just enough to keep you optimistic moving forward.

For me, I need to see Kentucky win big. I’m not sure I’ll be too excited with a narrow win. I need to see two touchdowns to be satisfied. Put me down for the 14-20 range.

Any win with fewer than three turnovers OR
A win of 20+ with any number of turnovers OR
We lose and my wife bakes apple turnovers

A 30 point loss, with stoops and Barnhart being fired after the game. And the fans flinging feces at them as the exit in shame.

A bit harsh don’t you think?

I agree with Big Blue Shawn. And after we fling feces at Stoops and Barnhart and drive them from the stadium in humiliation, we should burn down Commonwealth Stadium and the football training facility and abolish the football program. Yeah, that’s what we should do.

I feel you 100% ready to see someone leading this team that is just a smarter coach! Need an AD who knows how to hire a winner as well. Not Harsh Shawn just the truth!

If South Carolina scores fewer than 21 points, then I am satisfied. For UK’s defense to hold ANY team (even Tates Creek) to less than 35 points has to be considered a victory.

Agreed, do not care how, just at 00.00 on the clock we have one more point than they do.

I think cats win 27-17. I think their defense scores one touchdown on a fumble by a reciever, and our defense gives up a big play or 2. I say we kill them with the boom, kemp, snell trio, and Stephen johnson throws for 200 yards and runs for 30, with no interceptions.

SC will win by 10. Our defense can’t stop water.

Seeing this SC team play and they have the worst QB maybe in the league even worse than Barker. If the Cats can just get some defense and give the ball to Johnson and company the Cats have a chance to win big.

At this point, I’ll just take a win.

    Go Big Blue!
